Doulas are the people who hold your hand through all the unknowns, stresses, and joys of the birth and the postpartum period.
My job is not to simply help you survive birth and postpartum, but to walk with you through all the intricate emotions of welcoming a new baby.
Empowerment, education, and hands-on care are something a doula can provide in a way no one else can. Whether that means teaching you about how your body is changing or doing baby laundry, a doula’s role is always to help you step into yours.
I have always been drawn to newborns from the time I could hold a baby doll. When my younger brother was born I was enamored. During college I began to search for another field where I could help mothers with their infants. I worked in a daycare hoping this could be the career for me but I quickly realized that I wanted to have a deeper personal connection with the mothers and infants I worked with.
I delved into the field of Nannying and helped multiple families who all had infants. I loved the deeper personal connection but felt compelled to help mothers and babies in a more in-depth way. I wrestled with the decision to leave nannying but ultimately knew that I would be blessed when I followed the calling the The lord placed only heart. began the search for how I could best serve mothers and infants. I found the definition of a doula on a blog post and instantly knew this what what I was meant to be doing.
So I searched out other women who were doulas near me and I was connected with a woman who trains doulas. I spoke with her in a conversation that confirmed all that I was feeling and signed up for her next training. I did my training and became a postpartum doula about 6 months later. I have been serving the women around me ever since. In my years I have served many different women and babies in many different situations. I served women with one baby and women with multiples. I've served first time moms and fifth time moms. I have gladly helped bottle feeding moms and breastfeeding moms. I have served many different mothers and I have loved every single one of them through one of the most life altering times. I hope to show you love too and warmly welcome you and your baby to caring and compassionate care through pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
"Absolutely loved having Brenna into our home, she was a wonderful help. She washed bottles and pump parts, helped fold clothes and stuffed cloth diapers. She held the baby, talked to the older kids and helped motivate my older children to clean the playroom. General adult conversation was wonderful when being a new again mom can be pretty isolating. Truly so nice and wonderful to have as a postpartum doula. I hate this was my last baby I would hire again!"

“Brenna is an outstanding postpartum doula! She did so much to help our family during her time with us. She helped with the older children, snuggled my sweet baby boy and gave sound advice on how to help with baby boys development/nursing. She helped with laundry, dinner and so much more! I couldn't thank her enough for how helpful she was during my postpartum journey.”
Bethany Miller, Mom of 5
“I was so thankful to have Brenna's help after the birth of my third child. It was a big adjustment transitioning from 2 to 3 kids and having another set of hands was such a relief! Brenna played with my older kids, tidied up, folded laundry, and held the baby during her fussy time of the evening so that I could eat a full meal in peace. She was experienced and capable and willing to do whatever would be most helpful for me. That is truly invaluable during the postpartum period especially..”
